For its October exhibition, the National Museum of Caledon (NMOC) will feature Fitch Lekvoda’s Disturbia. The opening reception will be held from 2 pm until 4 pm on Saturday, 06 October and the show will run until 05 November.
Plastic Soul, an earlier exhibit by Fitch Lekvoda, explored emotion in the inanimate. Disturbia continues where Plastic Soul left off, with a series of images, surreal and deconstructionist in nature. They take something most would find comforting, and take it apart. It is intentionally disturbing and possibly nightmare inducing, a suitable theme with Halloween approaching.
The NMOC has again managed to find out of the ordinary talent among the artists of Caledon.
