A photo exhibition by Phrynne, Caledon Oxbridge’s own Dean of Commons, will be opening at the National Museum of Caledon (in Second Life™) on Wednesday, 05 September. Opening receptions will be held at 1 pm and 6 pm SLT (PDT).
Phrynne describes her exhibit the following way:
Land, Sea, Sky is a partial record of my travels, and some of my favorite places. There are photos of the sky and water off Oahu, the depth of the Grand Canyon of the Genesee, the thunder of waterfalls, and the quiet of a private garden. The chill of a winter morning, the ripple of a brook, and the cavalcade of clouds in a wide sky are all there. I hope the people who visit the exhibit will fall in love with some of them as much as I have. The upper floor and the center in the lower floor contain photos of the Genesee River Gorge as the river flows through Letchworth State Park, oldest state park in New York. The canyon is 700 to 1000 feet deep, and the river running through it goes through several sets of rapids — I have ridden a raft through those rapids. The Middle Falls drops 95 feet, the same distance as Niagara Falls. Also on the upper floor [of the museum] are photos taken on Oahu of sea and sky and wildlife, from the mountains out to the waves.
Downstairs are photos from Vermont, West Virginia, Ohio, Maryland and Minnesota, landscapes both wild and tame, reflections of memories as well as of the sky and the trees.
This looks to be a wonderful exhibition with a diverse set of nature photos. It also marks the continuing efforts of the National Museum of Caledon to bring the works of Caledon’s artists before the public’s eye. This is the fifth exhibition that they have held. Please lend the museum your support, they have earned it.
The exhibition of Land, Sea, Sky will continue through the rest of September..
