Making a Flexi-Skirt
Learn about Flexi-Prims and how to make them. Learn how to make your own Flexi-Skirts using the Oxbridge version of the LoopRez tool. Hands on class creating a skirt using the tool. Includes free textures, LoopRez script, step by step instructions and skirt panels to get started.
Suggested prerequisite class: Building Basics.
Hosting & DJing
Would you like to learn how to host parties? DJ? Well you’re in luck! My class makes it easy to learn and help you with not only confidence but how to also have etiquette for hosting or dj’ing your personal parties or events! 2pm SLT Bi-Weekly Sundays or otherwise posted or canceled depending on emergency factors or change of schedule. This will be a nice addition for the Caledon Community.
General Q&A
Come up (way up in the sky) to the Oxbridge Alternate Lecture hall for the bi-weekly General Q&A, where hosts Andrea and Ember take any and all questions about about Second Life, Caledon, Oxbridge, Steampunk, and related topics—and answer them. You've got questions; we've either got the answers or will find them and get back to you. This is also a platform for announcements of community events.
Scripting with Suzanna

his is a progressive class starting October 2nd and ending May 11th.
Levels: October: Newbie, November-December: Beginner, January-February: Intermediate, March-May: Advanced
Days: Monday: Class, Wednesday & Saturday: Practice & Questions.
Duration: Each class is 105 minutes long
Media: Classes will be in text only; class materials are full perm and class nodes contain the text of the class and answers to questions.
Building Basics
Building basics is an introduction to the build window of Second Life, using the construction of a simple hat to instruct students on how to create prims, as well as rotate, stretch, and link prims together as something to be worn. This is a basic class, so students of all experience levels are welcome - though those who already know how to build things may find themselves covering old ground. The class can run from 45-90 minutes, depending on how many questions are asked or how many students may have trouble.
Basic Photography & Tools
This class is for anyone new to Second Life photography. Considered Photo102 Learn how to edit settings in the Preferences window to enhance snapshots and discuss the tools used to make better photos in Second Life.
Mesh and PBR
This class will explore what mesh is and how it's used in Second Life to improve our visual experience and streamline our viewer performance. A brief description of PBR, 'Physically Based Rendering', will be offered as well.
Photo Salon
This is an open-ended workshop that provides SL photographers with skills instruction, practice locations, and a supportive atmosphere in which to practice the techniques of effective SL Photography. Each class stands alone, but specific topics will vary from week to week and be announced before class. Prerequisites: A basic photography class is recommended.

Join the writers' meeting in Caledon Night's reading room in front of a huge fireplace for Talking in public chat about writing.
Inventory Management
Concepts of Inventory Management teaches you everything you need to know to manage your inworld possessions, keep things sorted properly, and use the tools provided in your viewer efficiently.
Required prerequisite: familiarity with the orientation at Oxbridge or another new-user gateway.
Introduction to Role-Playing
Learn the basic history, purpose and usage of emotes and gestures. Explore roleplay, what it is, and how to do it. This class is intended to enhance your Second Life and greatly increase your fun potential! Free notes, landmarks and gestures provided.
Buildarama
BuildARama is a fun building event for builders of all skill levels: not a contest, but a chance to hone your skills and learn from other builders. The giant board provides a random word, and participants have a certain amount of time to build something out of prims corresponding to that word. After the building, participants can admire each others builds, talk about what was difficult or what worked well, ask questions like "how did you make THAT?", etc.
Q&A With the Deans
The Caledon Oxbridge "Dean Team" reports on current happenings at Oxbridge and answers your questions about Second Life, Caledon, Oxbridge, Steampunk, and anything else we can manage. Q&A is hosted by some combination of Wordsmith Jarvinen (Chancellor), Ember (Dean of Commons), and Andrea Jones (Dean of Development). Between them they know… stuff.
