13:57 | Aury (aurysa) | hi there Ravelli :P |
13:58 | Cynthia Farshore | Greetings Dean |
13:59 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Hiya Jorge. |
13:59 | KayCooper | Hi Jorge |
13:59 | Owlie Fairelander | hello everyone that arrived while my head was in another window! |
13:59 | Zahra Ethaniel | Hi Jorge :) |
13:59 | KayCooper waves to Owlie
13:59 | Jorge Serapis | *waves hello to everyone* |
14:00 | Owlie Fairelander | Hi Kay |
14:00 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Lets wait for the fashionably late. :) |
14:01 | Zahra Ethaniel | Heya Tavish |
14:01 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Hiya Tavish |
14:01 | Owlie Fairelander | Hi Tavish. |
14:01 | Tavish Brock (tavishbrock) waves
14:01 | NeoBokrug Elytis | IT'S... TIME. |
14:02 | Zahra Ethaniel | \o/ :) |
14:02 | NeoBokrug Elytis reviews his notes...
14:02 | Elfbiter Skysmith (elfbiter) | Not New York TIMEs` |
14:02 | NeoBokrug Elytis | To start, Occupancy this past month has had a little bump over last month. Always good. |
14:03 | Jorge Serapis | *admires Word's anti gravity seat cushion* |
14:03 | NeoBokrug Elytis | I can't remember where, but I recently saw some rumored metrics that general SL concurrency is down about 20-30% over last year. That sort of tracks with my general observations both here in Caledon, and The Wastelands. |
14:04 | Jorge Serapis | post COVID pandemic rebound? |
14:05 | NeoBokrug Elytis | There's only so much communities of SL can do to push the needle there, and I think we're going to start to need LL to help bring things back. To be fair, I think some of it, is just folks being busy trying to wrangle with the economy. |
14:05 | Mari Moonbeam | PBR backlash |
14:05 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Not in Caledon, but in The Wastelands I've had at least two folks tell me they needed to tier down to focus on their own things. |
14:06 | NeoBokrug Elytis | I don't know that it is PBR backlash Mari. I do agree that the launch was a mess, but folks had (and have) alternative viewers to log in with. |
14:06 | Owlie Fairelander | And PBR can be turned off. |
14:06 | Zahra Ethaniel | RL happens, sometimes unexpectedly |
14:06 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Jorge made a good point that, maybe it is still a bit of COVID cleanup. We saw it last year for sure. |
14:06 | Ravelli Ormstein considers to reinstall a non PBR-viewer again
14:06 | NeoBokrug Elytis | The updated SL and Firestorm viewers are far better for PBR than launch. |
14:07 | NeoBokrug Elytis | There's always room for improvement. Always. :) |
14:07 | Ravelli Ormstein loves hearing this
14:08 | NeoBokrug Elytis | I think the drop in concurrency is indicative of a bigger problem, and I guess we'll just have to weather that. We'll survive. My short term goals are to still bring awareness of Caledon to folks, and if we can get some new faces around here -- all the better. |
14:08 | Ember (emberell) | Yes, the updates fixed a few issues that were introduced with Firestorm's jump |
14:09 | Mari Moonbeam | nods , I'm waiting until they aren't running hot , my macbook never has the fans on now and 2k is 2k to replace |
14:10 | Tavish Brock (tavishbrock) | The PBR rendering system is death on ARM Macs regardless of settings right now, Mari. |
14:10 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Speaking of... my little bit of advertising on Facebook specifically to existing SL users... feels like throwing money in a pit. I don't know that it brought anyone new around. I'll try something a bit different here this upcoming month; part of my original plans. |
14:10 | Cynthia Farshore | It's not unusual that new things have unexpected bugs people, seen it before, beside Firestorm left their earlier non PBR available so I don't see PBR as any impact on population |
14:10 | NeoBokrug Elytis | (I still hate social media in general -- but a necessary evil) |
14:11 | Elfbiter Skysmith (elfbiter) | SL group in FB is kind of full of party announcements |
14:11 | Elfbiter Skysmith (elfbiter) | And scantily clad avatar item ads |
14:11 | NeoBokrug Elytis | I have a few speculative theories of my own about concurrency, but this meeting is not a forum for it. |
14:12 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Oh, no -- I took out proper Facebook ads. Not posting to other groups. |
14:12 | Ravelli Ormstein got the impression that FB is swamped with fake SL accounts
14:12 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Not going to do that again. |
14:12 | NeoBokrug Elytis | ;) |
14:12 | Ember (emberell) | Con currency? are we talking crypto? :-) |
14:12 | NeoBokrug Elytis looks at Ember, then Tavish.
14:12 | Tavish Brock (tavishbrock) | What?? |
14:13 | NeoBokrug Elytis | :) |
14:13 | Ember (emberell) | Don't look at me! |
14:13 | Tavish Brock (tavishbrock) checks to make sure things are zipped up
14:13 | Cynthia Farshore | con-currency, being against currency |
14:13 | Ravelli Ormstein | hm? |
14:14 | NeoBokrug Elytis | I am working on a new official Caledon Google Calendar. I am going to make sure that folks are in place to take it over in case something bad happens. |
14:14 | Owlie Fairelander | Victorian themed community is always going to be a small set of folks wanting to be in it. |
14:15 | Mari Moonbeam | I KNEW it --calendar slaves in the tunnels |
14:15 | Cynthia Farshore | ooohh not Google :( |
14:16 | Elfbiter Skysmith (elfbiter) | Calendar kitty catgirls... |
14:16 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Right now, I am gatekeeping contributions to the Google Calendar behind discord. From there I am going to convert things to JSON, and feed it into an inworld message that'll be at most telehubs, saying what's happening that day. That's the plan. You don't have to like or participate in discord -- but if you want your events to show up on the Calendar, you'll have to use the event feature of Discord. I have chosen to pay for the premium service of the integration, so we can have something a bit more nicer. |
14:16 | Tavish Brock (tavishbrock) has spent an unhealthy amount of time working with Google calendar data
14:17 | NeoBokrug Elytis | I am still working on it, and will be for a bit. One step at a time. |
14:17 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Tavish has the same brain damage I do. |
14:18 | Owlie Fairelander | Good! then you two can write a how-to manual for us (me) that is basically clueless about the workings of both Discord and Google calendar....grins. |
14:18 | NeoBokrug Elytis | My goal is to bring awareness to events utilizing these tools, through a website and inworld locations. |
14:18 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Absolutely. I excel at tech documentation. |
14:18 | Tavish Brock (tavishbrock) | I have made a little HUD that shows the day's events for various estates in-world, if anyone wants one. |
14:18 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Yeah! Tavish was showin' me, and it is really cool. |
14:19 | Mari Moonbeam | I see a lot of people at the Steampunk or vintage events , what if you used available parcels for one off special themed merchant events ? Customers would see the estate vs just another event mall. Not sure how expensive a Seraphim listing would be ... |
14:20 | NeoBokrug Elytis | I've done it in the past for very special occasions, but it is not something I want to make a regular habit, Mari. |
14:20 | Owlie Fairelander | I'd love one, Tavish |
14:20 | Cynthia Farshore | I see, so we send you the info in discord, you work it through Google Calender which in turn sends it into SL to display on a panel that about right? |
14:21 | Owlie Fairelander | Thank you, Tavish |
14:22 | Tavish Brock (tavishbrock) | Not at all. Work in progress, but I find it useful :) |
14:22 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Those who have events, will be given a role on discord to post their events in to discord. And I have a whole "article" about how it is done currently. You do not need my intervention, and by time the full chain of the process is done -- you just post your event details and it'll propagate. |
14:22 | Cynthia Farshore | sounds like a plan |
14:23 | NeoBokrug Elytis | It will not post to inworld groups however, just the Discord events, Google Calendar, some sort of JSON document I am going to have it author, and from there I'll be pulling data for my Thursday social media posts. |
14:24 | NeoBokrug Elytis | I am probably going to set up something like: https://calendar.independenstateofcaledon.com |
14:24 | NeoBokrug Elytis | And make sure that requires minimal intervention. |
14:24 | NeoBokrug Elytis | I work very hard to be lazy. |
14:24 | Owlie Fairelander | I like lazy. |
14:25 | Jorge Serapis | So what happens to the current Caledon calendar? |
14:25 | Cynthia Farshore | uuuh link does not connect |
14:25 | Ravelli Ormstein thinks it was just an example url
14:25 | NeoBokrug Elytis | I think we just abandon it. There's abandoned repeating events, and such going on. IIRC. |
14:25 | Cynthia Farshore | ah |
14:27 | Cynthia Farshore | I really should try this lazy you speak of |
14:27 | NeoBokrug Elytis | For those who run events, I am not allowing a repeating event function. I know it's tedious, but it is VERY IMPORTANT to occasionally add flavor to your event description, or whatever. Having the same thing over and over is technically okay, but if you have something like a Halloween version of your event, you should spice up the title and description to make folks gloss over it less. If that makes sense. |
14:27 | NeoBokrug Elytis | If you want to repeat your event, save the title, description, SLURL to a notecard, and just copy-paste once a week. I won't fault you. |
14:28 | Ali (sungali) | What about showing the schedule of a regular class for months ahead? |
14:28 | Elfbiter Skysmith (elfbiter) is more inclined to have Halloween-free events....
14:28 | Ravelli Ormstein hands Elf a root beer
14:28 | NeoBokrug Elytis | I believe Caledon Oxbridge has their own Calendar, and posting rule. This is for ISC specifically. |
14:28 | Ali (sungali) | Oh Okay |
14:29 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Repeating events are a burden for me, because it requires me to double check that every event listed, is actually being hosted. I can't wait on responses on Thursdays. |
14:29 | Cynthia Farshore | mmm something I have to think on such as right now Downs is in a month long Halloween event not just s day |
14:29 | NeoBokrug Elytis | So if everyone just posts their event once a week (set an alarm), It'll allow me to have the confidence to post all the events listed to social media -- and we can all hope that nothing gets canceled. |
14:30 | Ravelli Ormstein | in a calendar software I wrote I have a feature to copy an existing event to edit it, but one can not make auto-repeatable event |
14:30 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Yeah, just post it with the title of "All of October", have it run for 15 minutes at midnight on a Sunday or something. The event will still appear in the calendar weekly, and the title will let folks know. |
14:31 | Ravelli Ormstein | good idea, Neo |
14:31 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Rather than hash out all the details about how discord works here at the meeting, I'll just help folks one at a time, about how the entire system (is supposed to) work. |
14:32 | Cynthia Farshore | ok I haven't used the discord before so I'll catch you on there |
14:32 | NeoBokrug Elytis | So on my plate -- The discord integration works and updates in real time. That's done, here's a sneak peek at the Calendar (don't depend on this just yet. |
14:32 | Owlie Fairelander | yeah, I am new to discord as well...it's a learning curve. |
14:33 | KayCooper | I'm reacquainting myself with discord as well |
14:33 | Tavish Brock (tavishbrock) | It's like Slack for kids :P |
14:33 | NeoBokrug Elytis | One sec.. logging in to things. |
14:34 | Mari Moonbeam | I don't get the why behind a zillion sections for most groups , and the ding ding drives me crazy so I mute channels and then have a grocery list to audit ... |
14:34 | NeoBokrug Elytis | https://calendar.google.com/calendar/u/0/embed?src=286894368e1ddd8bb209895b8ac97c16a5b2dc73cf5ae7c63e067386ea38b74a@group.calendar.google.com&ctz=America/Los_Angeles&pli=1 |
14:34 | Cynthia Farshore | you can turn off the ding |
14:35 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Haha yeah, I suggest muting channels. I do have all the other steamlands there too as guests, as well as real world discussion, but you can mute them if you're not interested. |
14:35 | Ali (sungali) | Calendar draft looks good. |
14:36 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Anyway, that's the plan for the Calendar. Yes it's a little annoying, but I think once we learn the process it'll make things a bit more sane for general Caledon event promotions. |
14:36 | NeoBokrug Elytis | 25 minutes left, time to speed up! |
14:37 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Regarding the Group Notices and Group chat changes. After having 2 community meetings, several notecards, emails, and IM discussions with folks. I have settled on what the rules will be. |
14:37 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Hang in with me and hear it all out before you bring up the pitchforks and torches. |
14:38 | NeoBokrug Elytis | 1) Events posted into ISC should be focused on events happening IN Caledon*. |
14:38 | NeoBokrug Elytis | 2) Ideally group notices will be posted a whole day before the event, but I will allow up to an hour before. I hope that folks will consider as much time as possible, because notices go to offline emails if you have it configured to do so. |
14:39 | NeoBokrug Elytis | 3) Group chat to remind folks of events, will be 1 message to catch folks who are online now for: 15-5 minutes before an event starts. 1 when an event starts. And one at a half-time if your event is 2+ hours long, or when a different performer takes the stage. |
14:40 | NeoBokrug Elytis | As for events that happen outside of Caledon. They are allowed in a VERY limited capacity |
14:40 | NeoBokrug Elytis | 1) You must be a resident of Caledon to vouch for the event as being something of interest to Caledon. |
14:40 | NeoBokrug Elytis | 2) You may post 1 event notice outside of Caledon quarterly. So make sure that's the event you want to brag about. |
14:41 | NeoBokrug Elytis | All is contingent on peer status of the group. |
14:41 | NeoBokrug Elytis | I am done. |
14:41 | NeoBokrug Elytis | (unless I forgot something), but that's the gist of it. |
14:41 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Aether Chrononauts is a group that is great for posting events happening in other steamlands. |
14:42 | NeoBokrug Elytis | And I am going to promote ISC, Caledon Oxbridge, and Aether Chrononauts at the telehub for folks who want to stay involved. |
14:42 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Any pitchforks to hurl at my head? |
14:43 | Owlie Fairelander | I apparently don't own any pitchforks. |
14:43 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Does someone want to lend Owlie a pitchfork? |
14:43 | Elfbiter Skysmith (elfbiter) | Ravelli has the torch, I omit the pitchforks... |
14:44 | NeoBokrug Elytis | I will write up a notecard and hand it out to all the event hosting regulars, and reach out to them in the coming week. |
14:44 | NeoBokrug Elytis | 15 minutes. |
14:44 | Ravelli Ormstein | I wonder if the community will get used to group notices one day ahead, because it is uncommon, but of course it is worth it to give it a test |
14:44 | Cynthia Farshore | I was sort of under the impression ISC was rather free for us to talk as we are now |
14:45 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Okay. HALLOWEEN. Behind me, the ghoulish jack-o-lantern has the Halloween dispenser scripts that work on October 30th through november 1st. Folks visit your location, say trick or treat, and get a copy of an item, or a random item. |
14:46 | Zahra Ethaniel | I have a question about the random item? |
14:46 | Zahra Ethaniel | Will our treat-giver let us know if the items have run out? |
14:47 | NeoBokrug Elytis | You can discuss whatever you want in ISC, but being hammered with chat and notices about events as they are happening gives people reason to mute or leave the group. That is detrimental to Caledon as a whole, we need to respect folks offline IM counts (notices), and online presences. I am going to send IMs to everyone in the group who's logged in for the past year to ask them for forgiveness, and to unmute us if they have. |
14:47 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Zahra, yes. If you are a resident and you click the jack-o-lantern behind me it has quite thorough instructions. |
14:47 | NeoBokrug Elytis | And for those participating in trick-or-treating this year, please send me an IM, and a Landmark to each of your locations. |
14:47 | Zahra Ethaniel | oh thank you, I did get it, but, haven't had a chance to look it over, sorry for the interruption |
14:48 | NeoBokrug Elytis | I will be sending them all out the day before it starts. |
14:48 | NeoBokrug Elytis | No worries. :) |
14:48 | Mari Moonbeam | but we can still sip "tea" and chat in ISC chat ? |
14:48 | NeoBokrug Elytis | haha yeah :) |
14:49 | Ravelli Ormstein | tea with cavorite flavor and cinnamon |
14:49 | Owlie Fairelander | Worked for me, the pumpkin for trick or treat. |
14:50 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Okay. |
14:50 | NeoBokrug Elytis | 10 minutes! |
14:50 | Owlie Fairelander | I feel timed. |
14:50 | Owlie Fairelander | Wonder why. |
14:51 | Tora the Explorer (toraonna.thane) | shades of finals week :-P |
14:51 | NeoBokrug Elytis | I have been working to try to help folks make others aware of their Halloween events. And There's probably going to be some overlap. If you have an event the week of Halloween please let me know and I will try to get it out there. |
14:51 | NeoBokrug Elytis | FINALLY, 9 minutes |
14:51 | Ember (emberell) | Oh, yeah, Guv - if you'd like to send me a list of events I can announce them in the general Q&A for some reach there |
14:51 | Ember (emberell) | since some folk read the transcripts for notices |
14:51 | Ember (emberell) | I'm always happy to boost community events there |
14:52 | NeoBokrug Elytis | I made a new tool to "level out" your tier. It is in the Guvs mansion to the right as you enter on an easel with a few other tools. What it does is make all your tier due on the same day. |
14:53 | Zahra Ethaniel | I'll be trying that out after the meeting :) \o/! |
14:53 | Owlie Fairelander | Oh sure, you make it now, after I only have one parcel. |
14:53 | NeoBokrug Elytis | It picks your parcel with the furthest out date, adds one day and makes that the target date. Then it calculates the tier for every other parcel you own, and gives you a payment option. You pay it, your tier is all due on the same day. |
14:53 | NeoBokrug Elytis | It also doubles as a "pay all your tier one day" tool, as long as all your parcels are already due on the same day. |
14:53 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Next to it, are the older tools, pay all parcels 7 days, and pay all parcels 28 days. |
14:54 | Tavish Brock (tavishbrock) | That's a very cool thing |
14:54 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Off to the right side on the table, is the tier-auto-pay cog. Once you set it up on a parcel you own, as long as you have L$ on your account, it'll try to pay tier for you for that specific parcel. |
14:54 | Cynthia Farshore | be easy, be like those of us with whole regions you just make one payment that covers all |
14:55 | Zahra Ethaniel | unless you have a bunch of other parcels scattered through the whole estate :) |
14:55 | NeoBokrug Elytis | You'll have to set one up for every parcel. Folks in The Wastelands asked me to make it about a decade ago, in case they could not make it online. For instance if their PC died, or weather took out the internet for a week. |
14:55 | NeoBokrug Elytis | But I think about half of the Wastelanders use it as a set it and forget it device. |
14:55 | NeoBokrug Elytis | 5 minutes, enough to ask me question, and I'll hang out here for as long as you want until we're done. :) |
14:57 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Ember: For those list of events I am probably going to put a hard deadline on submissions for the 23rd, so I can sort 'em all out. |
14:57 | NeoBokrug Elytis | I will get you what I know, the next day. |
14:57 | Ember (emberell) nods
14:57 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Also my friend with the Tea store is very appreciative of the few orders you folks have put in. :) |
14:57 | Elfbiter Skysmith (elfbiter) | I still tend to post noticed hour beforehand |
14:57 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Do let me know what you think, and I will pass it on. |
14:58 | Ravelli Ormstein | your tea friend does not offer Assam |
14:58 | Cynthia Farshore | Guvnah what about ad panels I know there is a couple at Oxbridge |
14:58 | NeoBokrug Elytis | I will pass that on. Maybe he'll get some. |
14:59 | Owlie Fairelander | All right Neo, you've made some changes to how the notifications in ISC are being done, so any plans or thoughts to change the tone or conversation aspects of ISC at all? |
14:59 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Owlie: Just exist for a while, and be decent. |
14:59 | Elfbiter Skysmith (elfbiter) | I have not noticed any flame wars in ISC |
15:00 | Elfbiter Skysmith (elfbiter) | and Kara tends to smile brightly and so on |
15:00 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Ad panels. I have this little sub-game in The Wastelands involving spray paint. I could set up something like that here, and have a "panel" at telehubs. |
15:00 | Wordsmith Jarvinen | No lumen limits in ISC? |
15:00 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Maybe you paste a thematic poster for your event. |
15:00 | Owlie Fairelander | Well, some of us in Caledon are old enough to remember the want to have ISC a silent channel, and some of us fought against that. So was curious about it. |
15:01 | NeoBokrug Elytis | I think it is good to have discussion. I would never mute it. |
15:01 | NeoBokrug Elytis | It supports the community. |
15:01 | Ravelli Ormstein nods
15:02 | KayCooper | I agree |
15:02 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Ravelli, Tea friend says: Yeah we do Chinese tea mainly, some Taiwanese and a little Japanese. Assam is Indian tea, we don't really do Indian tea. We have one Darjeeling but that's all. |
15:02 | Cynthia Farshore | some may get passionate about something but I've never heard flame |
15:03 | Ravelli Ormstein | oh, pity. But thanks for asking, Neo |
15:03 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Yeah, it has mostly been civil in there, and I seldom step in to address things. I will though it if is problematic in my eyes. |
15:03 | NeoBokrug Elytis | I have in the past. |
15:03 | Tavish Brock (tavishbrock) | They're Darjeeling Limited |
15:03 | Ravelli Ormstein | :-) |
15:04 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Any other questions, comments, or air-express pitchforks to deliver to me? |
15:04 | KayCooper | I'd just like to say that I appreciate the landscaping of free parcels...they look nice and not so vacant |
15:04 | NeoBokrug Elytis | If anyone has concerns about anything ever, my door is always open. |
15:04 | Owlie Fairelander | OH there's an option to air-express pitchforks! sweet! |
15:04 | Elfbiter Skysmith (elfbiter) | I am out of paper airplanes. Oh. That was IgNobels. |
15:04 | NeoBokrug Elytis | That'd be the handywork of Mari. :) |
15:05 | KayCooper | Thank you Mari! It looks very nice :) |
15:05 | Mari Moonbeam | thank you Kay |
15:05 | Zahra Ethaniel | Thank you for the great tunes today, Sandling :) |
15:05 | Cynthia Farshore | I was going to use an airship to drop pitchforks |
15:05 | Owlie Fairelander | yes, it's nice to see the empties a little less empty. |
15:05 | KayCooper | Thanks Sandling |
15:05 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Ahh yes. Thanks for the tunes Sandling. :) |
15:05 | Sandling Honey | yw :D |
15:05 | Owlie Fairelander | Thank you, Sandling! |
15:05 | Sandling Honey | \O.O/ |
15:05 | Mari Moonbeam | yes! that was a treat |
15:06 | NeoBokrug Elytis | A long term project is to bring my parcel auto-decorator system here to Caledon, so that Mari can click some buttons and get a good start on it. But that is a LOT of work for me. |
15:06 | Tora the Explorer (toraonna.thane) | thanks as always, mz Sandling! |
15:07 | Sandling Honey | Thank you all too : > |
15:07 | Owlie Fairelander | Yeah you need to get some Victorian style litter for it. |
15:07 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Next community meeting is on November 9th. Keep an eye out on group notices for Halloween things. |
15:07 | Zahra Ethaniel | broken teapots and cups :) |
15:07 | Ravelli Ormstein | remember, remember, the 9th of november! |
15:08 | Tavish Brock (tavishbrock) | Thanks Neo and everyone! |
15:08 | Zahra Ethaniel | Thank you for the meeting, Neo :) |
15:08 | NeoBokrug Elytis | I have one more tier related tool to bring to Caledon, but you shouldn't rez it if you have all your tier on one day. |
15:08 | Aury (aurysa) | thanks everyone! |
15:08 | KayCooper | Thanks Neo :) |
15:08 | Mari Moonbeam | teapot shotput |
15:08 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Thanks for coming out everyone. |
15:08 | Zahra Ethaniel | I'm going to try the tier leveling thing : ) |
15:08 | Tora the Explorer (toraonna.thane) | yup, thanks neo sama :-D |
15:08 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Oh yeah! There's a "?" under it with instructions. The instructions should also be in the group notices. |
15:08 | KayCooper | Take care everyone and enjoy the rest of your day/evening :) |
15:09 | Zahra Ethaniel | good to see everyone, have a great rest of the day/evening :) |
15:09 | SupposedToPurr (rob.niosaki) | LOL |
15:09 | Cynthia Farshore | oh one more question on paying tier does this apply to regions? |
15:10 | Cynthia Farshore | well we still have the pay stand we have now? |
15:11 | NeoBokrug Elytis | You can pay tier anywhere. |
15:11 | NeoBokrug Elytis | However if you use any of the tools back there, the old meter needs time to update. If you make a payment for the old meter, it'll update to the new times. |
15:11 | Ravelli Ormstein | it is great you have so many tools |
15:12 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Inworld, there's a few hours delay on the old meters, but the data is safe on the backend. |
15:12 | Cynthia Farshore | ok then I can just keep what I'm doing |
15:12 | NeoBokrug Elytis | Hey, if you build your own tier system, you can do anything. |
15:12 | Ravelli Ormstein | yup! |
15:13 | NeoBokrug Elytis | There will be a point where I want to update the whole thing, because working on the leveler made me realize how old the code is, and as I said earlier. Things can always be improved. :) |
15:13 | Elfbiter Skysmith (elfbiter) | As long asn things are updated to incomprehensibility |
15:14 | Elfbiter Skysmith (elfbiter) | Says a guy who saw it happen with local national railways.... |
15:14 | Ravelli Ormstein | "Never touch a running system." my boss used to say, but then he got fired be the owners for not being innovative |
15:14 | NeoBokrug Elytis | The database design could be a lot better. I have some redundant data in there; but it all still works. |
