14:04 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Good afternoon everyone! Thanks for coming. As is becoming the usual now ~ the way the Community meeting typically works is I ramble on about a topic, and ask for questions in between topics. Then sometimes we throw out all the attempted organization of the meeting, and I just start fielding questions as they come in. ;) I really don't mind. It usually lasts about an hour, sometimes more, sometimes less. But I'm glad you're all here. |
14:04 |
Katie (katie.canningham) |
Just FYI the dress I'm wearing is on sale at Zan's shop at the Shop & Hop |
14:04 |
Cynthia Farshore |
very nice one |
14:05 |
Katie (katie.canningham) |
I agree! |
14:05 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
To start Caledon and Caledon Oxbridge still have several exhibits at the SL21B. From what I have been told we can visit until the 21st. I personally haven't been able to go yet, due to being busy and ill. But I for sure will make time this week. |
14:06 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
And I am unsure which Caledon creators are in the shop and hop, so if anyone can name drop some folks, now would be a good time. |
14:06 |
Cynthia Farshore |
saw the Oxbridge one has lots of info panels |
14:06 |
Katie (katie.canningham) |
Zantyago, Beth Ghostraven for starters |
14:06 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Oxbridge will force learning upon you, so you don't have to beg. :) |
14:06 |

Beth Ghostraven has a Shop and Hop |

I think I missed Oxbridge...will look for it [ed note: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/SLB%20Blissful/200/29/21 ] |

I do know there's been some ... Bay City hijinks! |
14:07 |
Owlie Fairelander |
Are we still at war with Bay City? |
14:07 |
Cynthia Farshore |
wouldn't be Bay city if no Hijinks |
14:07 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
We'll have to stay vigilant, they seem to be trying to infiltrate Caledon again. |
14:07 |
Mari Moonbeam |
how so? |
14:08 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
I think they were parking vehicles in the Oxbridge exhibit. I am pretty sure that is a loading and unloading zone only. |
14:08 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Like, the stairs aren't even a good place to park. |
14:08 |
Katie (katie.canningham) |
O.O |
14:09 |

This is the official list of all exhibits if anyone missed it: https://community.secondlife.com/blogs/entry/15849-sl21b-exhibitor-showcase/ |

many thanks Kay! |

we need folks in Bobbie outfits to ticket them, or blow them up |
14:09 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Indeed! |
14:10 |
KayCooper |
could just send in some exploding turkeys |
14:10 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Occupancy has been doing rather well, even with the re-addition of new parcels in Stormhold; we still have an overall occupancy gain over last month. |
14:10 |

Owlie Fairelander adds create exploding turkeys to Neo's guv-do-this-list |

I have been very happy on past parcels in Stormhold. |
14:12 |
Cynthia Farshore |
who you want to wish well? |
14:12 |
Beth Cooper-Pentewyn (beth.pentewyn) |
And I'm impressed by the new build-able design of the mountains. |
14:12 |
Mari Moonbeam |
by inserting a glitter bomb ;p |
14:12 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
I am not 100% done with Stormhold, and I will more than likely keep picking at it over the next couple months. I'll be adding ambient sounds next, like Tam has. I also want to redo the paths there. |
14:13 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
But for the next couple months I need to shift my attention to The Wastelands. I've been putting off something there since I've taken the mantle from Des, and the deadline is soon. I'll still be here generally, but "work" on the regions will slow down quite a bit until that deadline is met. Hence, the picking at Stormhold as I have time. |
14:14 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Honestly, I just need a break from wreck and ruin sometimes, to work on something natural and nice. |
14:14 |
Cynthia Farshore |
Downs is a wreak right now |

Updates are sometimes hard Cynthia, and take longer than we think. RL has certainly thrown all the curve balls my way these past months. |
14:16 |
KayCooper |
RL likes to do that |
14:16 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
I just got over COVID; never had it before -- but that's not a week I am getting back anytime soon. |
14:16 |
Cynthia Farshore |
uh It's all on my back anyway |
14:16 |
Beth Cooper-Pentewyn (beth.pentewyn) |
Do we have enough canals to have vehicles on them? There's not much open water left. |
14:16 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Let me know if you need help Cynthia. |
14:16 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Beth: Yes. |
14:16 |
Cynthia Farshore |
since relay is done I need to get hot on Downs |
14:16 |
Owlie Fairelander |
I need ferries, Beth!! |
14:16 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Some of the earliest work I did was to open things up a bit. |
14:17 |
Katie (katie.canningham) |
vehicles? narrow boats? (she asks hopefully) |
14:17 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
And as folks have been moving around, I've been making sure there's Commonwealth land where the Canals are. |
14:17 |
Mari Moonbeam |
yes , you can get around a lot now, bridges that work etc |
14:17 |
Beth Cooper-Pentewyn (beth.pentewyn) |
I took a dinkie canoe out yesterday and had fun with it. |
14:18 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
I hope Katie, for now I'll have to rely on Marketplace offerings, but scripting is perhaps my #1 skill in SL. So as long as they're copy-mod I can do just about anything in regard to repurposing them. |
14:18 |
Jorge Serapis |
One of the first things Neo did was to make a navigable canal system; widening existing canals, creating new ones. and tweaking the bridges. All bridges now open automatically upon approach by a vehicle. |
14:18 |
Katie (katie.canningham) |
cool! |
14:19 |
Owlie Fairelander |
I have a sort of a boat rezzer out in Rose, you can ride it all over, I've left Rose using it, might get an error message but just ignore it. It's set to anyone to use. |
14:19 |
Katie (katie.canningham) |
um, what happens to somebody on the bridge? |
14:19 |
|
Beth Cooper-Pentewyn (beth.pentewyn) snickers |
14:19 |
KayCooper |
they get unceremoniously flung into the water |
14:19 |
Mari Moonbeam |
if their tier is paid, nothing |
14:19 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
It is a lot of work, and the new scripts will be authored from scratch so they can be re-purposed later. |
14:19 |
Jorge Serapis |
They are sacrificed to the Great Cog an their name is added to the Wall of remembrance in the Chapel of Hope. |
14:20 |
Cynthia Farshore |
the bridge on Downs will operate the same it will open on approach |
14:20 |
Mari Moonbeam |
owe the Guv, meet the bridge gnome |
14:20 |
Owlie Fairelander |
Nothing wrong with going for a swim! |
14:20 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
That is, of course, after the Deadline work I have. |
14:20 |
Beth Cooper-Pentewyn (beth.pentewyn) |
Gloria Bulmer did a lot of work on designing a ferry some years ago. |
14:20 |
Katie (katie.canningham) |
If I am to be flung into the water, I request an accompanying ceremony |
14:20 |
KayCooper |
hehe |
14:20 |
KayCooper |
hehe |
14:21 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
My short term plans thus far for the year are: Deadline work in The Wastelands, Come back to Caledon and get the trains going, then a secret project for Caledon I wanted to do in the spring. |
14:21 |
Elfbiter Skysmith (elfbiter) |
I am not sure if Glorf Bulmer is with us any more... |
14:21 |
Wordsmith Jarvinen |
So you don't want to be unceremoniously flung into the water? |
14:21 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
All the while I'll be doing many smaller tasks, like promoting Caledon, etc. |
14:21 |
Katie (katie.canningham) |
nope, I prefer ceremoniousness |
14:22 |
Jorge Serapis |
SL says that's not a word. |
14:22 |
Katie (katie.canningham) |
It is now |
14:22 |
Cynthia Farshore |
a secret project huh |
14:22 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
I do want to re-do the bridges to look more appealing. |
14:22 |
Beth Cooper-Pentewyn (beth.pentewyn) |
Ohh, secrets |
14:22 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
But for now, we work with what we have. |
14:22 |
Elfbiter Skysmith (elfbiter) |
Secret catgirl project? :-) |
14:22 |
Katie (katie.canningham) |
It is written in The Book of Secrets |
14:22 |
Owlie Fairelander |
The bridges you have are pretty good, so no worries on an update. |
14:23 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Once I start on it, I'll say what the secret is. |
14:23 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Until its in motion, it shall stay a secret. |
14:23 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
But until then I need to clear a few plates. |
14:23 |
Cynthia Farshore |
so in the meantime Caledon is on double secret probation |
14:23 |
Jorge Serapis |
Apologies for the hot mess of a fixed span bridge in Southend. I put that up temporarily to work out the actual sizze of the soon to be finished product. |
14:24 |
Mari Moonbeam |
"motion" "plates" a mobile cafe? |
14:24 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Haha |
14:24 |
Mari Moonbeam |
I thought that SE bridge was a PBR thing and wen crazy |
14:24 |
Jorge Serapis |
it is. you are. |
14:24 |
Jorge Serapis |
/jk |
14:24 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
And yeah, I didn't mention it when I did it, but I did clear up the complete land chaos of the canals in southend. That may be another region I'll pick at if I am spinning my wheels on The Wastelands deadline. |
14:25 |
Mari Moonbeam |
been here since 2008 so, yup |
14:26 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
There we two new "tiny parcel" offerings in Stormhold. They were scooped up immediately. I will probably cherry pick a few available parcels and split them up as I have time, to offer a few more. |
14:26 |
KayCooper |

Greetings, lady Phrynne |
14:26 |
Jorge Serapis |
Are the tiny parcel owners longterm SLers? |
14:27 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
As for future 30k upgrades, I am going to hold off on them until after my deadline. I've had a few people ask where is next, and... honestly I don't want to commit to where the next vote would be. |
14:27 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Jorge: Yes. |
14:27 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Gosh, any questions about anything we've covered so far? |
14:29 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
I guess I'll keep goin' then. |
14:30 |
Beth Cooper-Pentewyn (beth.pentewyn) |
What is a 30K upgrade? |
14:31 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
After SL21B we'll be having a mobile viewer party, to help promote awareness. |
14:31 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Beth: |
14:32 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Right now most full regions are 20k maximum prims on them. Basically, a 30k region is an upgrade, where folks get 50% more LI or Prims on their land, but tier increases a bit, as much as 20%. Its not the same for everyone. |
14:33 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
The way it works is I'll pick a region, or ask folks to suggest a region; and then I'll ask the residents of that region if they want the upgrade. I tally votes, and it takes an 80% vote to pass. Those who don't vote, count as a no. So everything must be in the affirmative. |
14:33 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Stormhold had a vote a few months ago, and their region is now a 30k region. |
14:33 |
Beth Cooper-Pentewyn (beth.pentewyn) |
Nice! |
14:33 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
L$ to Prim, it is a very good value, even with the increased tier. |
14:34 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
One side bonus for me, is that I have more LI to work with on commonwealth land for the renovations. Folks have told me Stormhold looks good. :) |
14:35 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Even then I am always lamenting more LI for whatever I work on. My plans are bigger than my resources. |
14:35 |
Owlie Fairelander |
it does. Your remodels on the regions is fantastic. |
14:36 |
KayCooper |
Too many awesome decorations...never enough prims for them all |
14:36 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Thanks! I'm going to start being more PBR focused, to help future-proof the appearance of Caledon, and I'll probably revisit Stormhold and Tam for similar updates as well, at a later time. |
14:36 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
So true Kay! |
14:36 |
Owlie Fairelander |
if you need a region to experiment with PBR terrain feel free to use Rose |
14:37 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
I read someplace that LL might consider an in-between region, something like 10k. |
14:37 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Huh, I may take you up on that offer. |
14:37 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
I have yet to have anyone author anything specific for Caledon or The Wastelands. |
14:37 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
I like our homes to look unique among the rest of the grid. |
14:38 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Any questions or comments about anything so far? |
14:38 |
Beth Cooper-Pentewyn (beth.pentewyn) |
PBR. I have some PBR landscaping but I was worried about causing lag by installing it. |
14:38 |
Beth Cooper-Pentewyn (beth.pentewyn) |
From Skye |
14:38 |
Cynthia Farshore |
define unique as there's another way to see that :) |
14:38 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
I don't think so. I know there's some viewer growing pains at the moment. |
14:38 |
KayCooper |
yeah I haven't upgraded my skye stuff yet either |
14:39 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
I know PBR works for some folks real well, and tanks other systems real hard -- but if they switch viewers things are alright. So until there's fixes for everyone, things will seem wonky. I suggest when viewers make updates, to give PBR another chance if you're currently avoiding it. |
14:40 |
Beth Cooper-Pentewyn (beth.pentewyn) |
OK |
14:40 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Because for me, the PBR viewers are 40% faster than the non-PBR ones. |
14:40 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Mostly because they redid a lot of the rendering engine. |
14:40 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
(and took out the option to disable ALM) |
14:40 |
Cynthia Farshore |
PBR worked well for me it's just that I don't like Firestorm |
14:41 |

hi Andrea |
14:41 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
And yeah, I don't mind either viewer. I find FS easier to build with these days, but LL has a lot of feature parity now. |
14:41 |
Katie (katie.canningham) |
Hi Andrea! |
14:41 |
Andrea Jones (andreajonesms) |
hello |
14:42 |
Andrea Jones (andreajonesms) |
please carry on |
14:42 |
Cynthia Farshore |
I'm a Genesis user |
14:43 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
There's a bit of a new social media platform I am using for Caledon. It's like twitter and flickr, but specifically made for Second Life. Its called primfeed, and Caledon has a presence there: https://www.primfeed.com/caledon |
14:43 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
And if anyone wants to follow me specifically, I'm there too: https://www.primfeed.com/neobokrug.elytis I am not much of a social media user. |
14:44 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
But I go through the motions for both communities. Once in a blue moon I'll say something I think is important. |
14:44 |
Void Settler (test.day) |
Yes! - I love it |
14:44 |
Cynthia Farshore |
uuuuh won't let ya, it forces a sign up |
14:44 |
Void Settler (test.day) |
But I always had a little personal beef with Flickr - I find this a very nice alternative |
14:44 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Yeah, i am waiting for them to fix that. but the vibe is a lot better. |
14:45 |
Cynthia Farshore |
I have no problems with Flickr what problems you have? |
14:45 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
It has a lot of promise because it was built by SL users for SL users. |
14:46 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
I still use the other social media to promote our spaces, I personally have no problems with Flickr. |
14:46 |
Andrea Jones (andreajonesms) |
I have too much stuff on Flickr to leave it |
14:46 |
Void Settler (test.day) |
Too much community segregation, and too harsh enforced baiting towards Premium usership, but that's my personal vibe with it |
14:47 |
Verity Goodnight |
I just can't afford two pro Flickr accounts, so I ditched my SL one and my RL one for my own personal galleries on webspace I own anyway lol |
14:48 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Going back to social media generally -- I am still promoting all the events that folks create on Discord. That doesn't mean I am not opposed to posting events that aren't in discord -- it just means you need to drop a notecard on me describing your event with as many details as possible. I post events on Thursdays in SL, and on the social media. |
14:48 |
Mari Moonbeam |
I just wish there was one out of world place, I log in and get notecards full of go here go there out of world , so then I use my email to save copy/pastes and it's even more distant . |
14:48 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
I'll be encouraging folks who have events here AND want to attract new people to their events, to use the SL events page. It seems like throwing words in to a bottomless pit, but I can assure you it does attract new people. |
14:49 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
You may get 1 or 5 per event, but usually you'll have someone new who is exploring Sl and looking for things to do. |
14:49 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Haha yeah Mari, me too. |
14:49 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
It takes me all day to post events. ALL. DAY. |
14:50 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
I curse myself out if I make an error, because I have to go back and delete things, and repost 'em. |
14:50 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Which is in part why I have a hard deadline of get it to me by Wednesday. |
14:50 |
Elfbiter Skysmith (elfbiter) |
I already post to 11 groups... |
14:50 |
Elfbiter Skysmith (elfbiter) |
And Discord. |
14:51 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Groups are easy. Copy paste. Social media needs a bit more hand-holding as they do and don't have character limits and various changes you need to make to get it to look right. |
14:51 |
Cynthia Farshore |
So why don't you just set it so people post the events themselves? why you take on such? |
14:51 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
There's programs that'll do it for you, but it's like a $300 a MONTH subscription. |
14:52 |
Elfbiter Skysmith (elfbiter) |
Too much automation is not a good thing... |
14:52 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Not all social media allows that Cynthia. So I currently have folks send me notecards or post to discord. |
14:52 |
Katie (katie.canningham) |
or at least appoint helpers? |
14:52 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
I'll aggregate it. |
14:53 |
Elfbiter Skysmith (elfbiter) |
I have seen only three events posted in Discord, including mine. |
14:53 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
I don't know there's a good way to do it, especially since most social media has multi-factor authentication. |
14:53 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Yeah. I still scoop 'em up. |
14:53 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
This week The Wastelands had a dozen. |
14:53 |
Elfbiter Skysmith (elfbiter) |
Not your fault. |
14:55 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
I have an ever expanding text file that I update every week. I try to keep a format that allows me to parse it in to different social media. It's just that all the platforms are different. |
14:56 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Any questions about anything so far? |
14:56 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
After Stormhold where should I work next? ;) |
14:56 |
Wordsmith Jarvinen |
You could keep the data in a JSON file and use scripts to customize for the different platforms |
14:57 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
I've been thinking about that Word. |
14:57 |
Owlie Fairelander |
Port. |
14:57 |
Mari Moonbeam |
Port |
14:58 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
What specifically about Port do you want most changed? |
14:58 |
Cynthia Farshore |
Starboard |
14:58 |
Katie (katie.canningham) |
Bow |
14:58 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
I was waiting for that. :D |

14:59 |
Owlie Fairelander |
the dock area could be update a bit. do some underwater decor |
14:59 |
Cynthia Farshore |
KEEL-HAULED |
14:59 |
Katie (katie.canningham) |
~*~* EEEEEEEEK! *~*~ |
14:59 |
Ms. Kellan McKenna (kellan.mckenna) |
Underwater decor would be lovely |
14:59 |
Elfbiter Skysmith (elfbiter) |
Bilge |
14:59 |
Owlie Fairelander |
the coastline probably could use some attention as to space for passage |
15:00 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
I'd have to convince folks to give me their land. |
15:00 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
I've done it a few times, and everyone has been cooperative so far. :) |
15:00 |
|
Katie (katie.canningham) makes a mental note to check her coastline |
15:00 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
But it is still a big ask. |
15:00 |
Cynthia Farshore |
eminent domain |
15:00 |
Elfbiter Skysmith (elfbiter) |
How about the sea serpent? |
15:00 |
Beth Cooper-Pentewyn (beth.pentewyn) |
Agree on the coastline...I looked at the rezzable marina slips but wasn't sure if there was anyplace to sail to. |
15:00 |
Jorge Serapis |
Space for passage, ie being able to circumnavigate the perimeter of Port? |
15:00 |
KayCooper |
I've got enough sea passage area I think |
15:01 |
Mari Moonbeam |
It worked as a commercial hub way back when people sold out of small parcels what would work today - keeping the dock? making a lake? |
15:01 |
Owlie Fairelander |
perimeter |
15:01 |
Katie (katie.canningham) |
I try to have enough |
15:01 |
Jorge Serapis |
You can pretty much navigate all south of Caledon from the rezzing zone in Port that I host. |
15:02 |
KayCooper |
there are some pool floaties at the moment though, but I don't think that would be a problem |
15:02 |
Beth Cooper-Pentewyn (beth.pentewyn) |
Excellent Jorge |
15:02 |
Mari Moonbeam |
I'd stand in a shop and stare at one prim bookcases for 100L when I was a noob <-----easily amused |
15:02 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
I'll keep it in mind. I do know there's a few folks who're hosting some canals right now. |
15:03 |
Beth Cooper-Pentewyn (beth.pentewyn) |
I kept the water on the edge of my Mayfair parcel open. |
15:03 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
I'll have to check out the LI allocations there again. I know there's some ugly parcels there -- shape wise. |
15:04 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
So yeah! Maybe that after the big deadline. |
15:04 |
Phrynne |
Just a thought, but Port used to have an immense black octopus that would rise out of the water and stare at you. |
15:04 |
KayCooper |
o.o |
15:04 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
We're over time, and I don't mind sitting here chewing the fat with you all. Do we have any big events coming up? |
15:04 |
Mari Moonbeam |
canal-- the 5 m clear zone that used to be in the covenant ? |
15:05 |
Owlie Fairelander |
if I *ever* get Rose done I'll do 'grand opening' event. Hoping to do boat races and such. |
15:05 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Ideally, I'd like official canal spaces that are commonwealth. |
15:05 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
*commonwealth owned. |
15:05 |
KayCooper |
yay boat races! |
15:05 |
Katie (katie.canningham) |
maybe instead of taking the coastline, require that people leave room? |
15:06 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Well. There's the rub |
15:06 |
Beth Cooper-Pentewyn (beth.pentewyn) |
That also means leaving object entry open. |
15:06 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Some people want all the LI their land allows, and refuse to allow folks to traverse across their land. |
15:06 |
Jorge Serapis |
*sghs, remembering the chaos of the original CAT routes* |
15:06 |
Katie (katie.canningham) |
here in Caledon? |
15:06 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
So I have been told. |
15:06 |
Phrynne |
yep |
15:07 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
But you know, with a 30k upgrade it might be less of an issue. |
15:07 |
Katie (katie.canningham) |
Everybody, please feel free to traverse across my land - just please don't litter |
15:07 |
Owlie Fairelander |
grins. yes, I've always liked using the prims. All of them. |
15:07 |
Andrea Jones (andreajonesms) |
If it can happen, it has happened here |
15:08 |
Jorge Serapis |
People quite vociferously verbalised their reluctance to leave prims for the CATs to fly through when there was no other option. |
15:08 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
So in the fall I will start working on Port. At least I can start brainstorming suitable changes until then. |
15:08 |
Elfbiter Skysmith (elfbiter) |
How many bottles of Port? |
15:09 |
Katie (katie.canningham) |
A couple of cases |
15:09 |
Katie (katie.canningham) |
and some sherry, m'dear-ah |
15:09 |
Mari Moonbeam |
99 bottles....99 bottles in the walll.... |
15:09 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
It could be added to the covenant. Thought I hate to make things like that. The Wastelands has a very complex game and components of the game traverse across peoples lands across the estate. it's been a non-issue for them, because the rule to allow object entry and leaving a few prims available has been there since the start. |
15:09 |
Elfbiter Skysmith (elfbiter) |
...thirty-nine bottles of port in the prim, thirty-nine bottles of port *hic*... |
15:09 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Going back and asking folks to make changes is often met with resistance. |
15:10 |
Katie (katie.canningham) |
it feels like ohm |
15:10 |
Beth Cooper-Pentewyn (beth.pentewyn) |
If you have port, you should offer cheese too. |
15:10 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
And I am going to blame all my spelling errors and typos on COVID recovery. |
15:10 |
Phrynne |
In the past, at times, closing off object entry was a major way to avoid being griefed -- but there are far fewer griefers now than then. |
15:10 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Haha |
15:10 |
Katie (katie.canningham) |
oh true very true |
15:10 |
Phrynne |
(she said,knocking on wood) |
15:10 |
Mari Moonbeam |
well it's two things , not being able to use paid prims and the height as it craft goes over a property, it freaked me out |
15:10 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Yeah, and a few simple land settings defeats griefers in the long run. |
15:10 |
Owlie Fairelander |
I also recall getting an offline message in all caps of how I was ruining Caledon cause I had used the prims I was renting--from someone I had never even heard of at that point. Had no idea I was even under a CAT route, and then moved --five times to avoid the routes cause instead of commonwealth bein used for the routes the parcels I was renting were used instead. |
15:10 |
|
Elfbiter Skysmith (elfbiter) thinks he may have scared off some griefers |
15:11 |
Jorge Serapis |
I think once all the commonweath pathways are connected, the airship situation will be solved once and for all. |
15:11 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
I think Caledon is in "okay" shape for that right now Jorge. |
15:12 |
Jorge Serapis |
Which I think is pretty much- yea.. that. |
15:12 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
There's a few questionable areas still, but for the most part I think you could get around them. I've been working to make sure we have paths for things like that. |
15:12 |
|
Beth Cooper-Pentewyn (beth.pentewyn) needs to take a CAT ride again. It's been a while. |
15:12 |
Jorge Serapis |
The airships could also use the canals as routes. |
15:13 |
Jorge Serapis |
Beth, I've officially turned the CAT over to the Guv. It's his baby now, with my blessing. |
15:13 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
Yup! |
15:13 |
Beth Cooper-Pentewyn (beth.pentewyn) |
Aha |
15:13 |
Andrea Jones (andreajonesms) |
The waterways around the Village and Southend should be passable. Or at least they were last time i checked |
15:13 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
I am going to break it! :D |
15:13 |
Andrea Jones (andreajonesms) |
passes neo a platre |
15:13 |
Andrea Jones (andreajonesms) |
throw it far |
15:13 |
Cynthia Farshore |
the Guv likes CATS huh |
15:13 |
NeoBokrug Elytis |
I spoil mine, mostly. |
15:14 |
Wordsmith Jarvinen |
Got to run, so closing the transcript |
15:14 |

Okay! Take it easy Word! Thanks for recording this. |
